David Baker
Chair
David oversees the leadership and governance of the Woodleigh Institute. He is the Principal of Woodleigh School and a passionate supporter of holistic learning and coeducational schooling.
David’s interests includes school innovation, effectiveness, and improvement, leadership, mindfulness, and experiential education.
Dr Richard Owens FRSA
Director
Richard provides executive leadership for the Woodleigh Institute and manages its projects, partnerships, learning programs, and research. He helps lead strategic planning and professional learning at Woodleigh School. He is the Co-Founder and Convenor of the ReimaginED Conferences, the National Coordinator for the Compassionate Systems Collective, and a member of the RSA Capabilities for Life faculty.
His interests include systems awareness, regenerative learning, leadership, professional learning, competency-based learning, education futures, systems change, and school effectiveness, improvement, and innovation. Richard is a certified Compassionate Systems Master Practitioner.
Alex Martin
Administration Assistant
Alex provides administrative support for the operation and management of the institute. She also provides administrative support for its networks, learning programs, and conferences.
Alex is currently on leave.
Jodie Kirchner
Workshop Leader
Jodie helps lead workshops and programs at the institute. She is the Program Manager at the Kakoda Track Foundation. Jodie is a certified Compassionate Systems Master Practitioner.
Her interests include inquiry-based learning, systems awareness and change, international development, and education for intercultural understanding.
Mignon Weckert
Network Coordinator and Learning Associate
Mignon is the coordinator for the Compassionate Systems Collective in South Australia and helps lead workshops, programs and retreats for the network. She is currently completing the master practitioner program through The Center for Systems Awareness.
Mignon is also the Educational Leadership Director for Lutheran Education - South Australia, Northern Territory and Western Australia (LESNW). Mignon’s interests include leadership, learning, collaboration, and systems awareness.
James Clapham
Workshop Leader
James helps lead workshops and programs at the institute. He is a Lead Teacher at Woodleigh School. James is a certified Compassionate Systems Master Practitioner.
His interests include social and environmental regeneration, inquiry-based learning, and systems awareness.
Rod Davies
Workshop Leader
Rod helps lead workshops and programs at the institute. He is the Deputy Principal/Head of Minimbah Campus at Woodleigh School. Rod is a certified Compassionate Systems Master Practitioner.
His interests include experiential and inquiry-based learning, leadership, and systems awareness.
Kim Shore FRSA
Learning Associate
Kim is a Learning Associate at the Woodleigh Institute and helps lead the design and delivery of programs and workshops focused on regenerative futures. He is the Systems Innovation Principal at Climate-KIC Australia and Research Principal at the Institute for Sustainable Futures at UTS.
Kim is an interdisciplinary designer who is passionate about systemic innovation, learning, and collaboration.
