Compassionate Systems Leadership Retreat
About
The Compassionate Systems Leadership Retreat provides a unique space for leaders from all levels of schools and school systems to take a break from their daily routine to engage in deep reflection, conversation, and learning. The retreat connects participants with places and experiences that nurture rich dialogue around the challenges and opportunities that matter for transformative leadership in their settings. The immersive nature of the experience works to supports dialogue and collaboration, while enabling personal growth and wellbeing. An important feature of the retreat is the opportunity to connect with a creative and supportive community of compassionate system practitioners.
This year’s retreat will include an inquiry into the application of compassionate systems tools and practices to the design and development of regenerative school communities. Together, we will explore the following provocations:
How might we develop a school culture that is healthy, resilient, and adaptable?
How might an understanding of place, context, and community guide school innovation and improvement in our settings?
How might we evaluate our proposed development plans in terms of their positive, restorative, and regenerative potential?
How might we find inspiration in nature to inform individual and collective leadership in our schools?
