Systems Leadership Retreat
About
The Systems Leadership Retreat provides a unique space for leaders from all levels of schools and school systems to take a break from their daily routine to engage in deep reflection, conversation, and learning. The retreat connects participants with places and experiences that nurture rich dialogue around the challenges and opportunities that matter for transformative leadership in their settings. The immersive nature of the experience works to supports dialogue and collaboration, while enabling personal growth and wellbeing. An important feature of the retreat is the opportunity to connect with a creative and supportive community of innovators and change makers.
This year’s retreat will feature an inquiry into the design and development of regenerative school communities. drawing on theory, tools, and practices from the fields of social-emotional learning, leadership, systems awareness, and regenerative design. Together, we will explore the following provocations:
How might starting from ‘what if’ rather than ‘what is’ open opportunities for moving towards a preferred future?
How might learning from nature help us solve or adapt to complex challenges?
How might communities and cultures be sources of change?
How do I show up? What perspectives, beliefs, emotions, and feelings shape my behaviour?
