About

This workshop provides an introduction to the Regenerative Futures Program (RFP) at Woodleigh. The program is a pioneering initiative that builds the capacity of young people to engage with complexity, embrace diversity, and develop compassionate, collaborative solutions to real-world challenges. Through a combination of presentations, discussions, and experiential learning, participants will gain an understanding of the field of regenerative futures and the unique program offered by the school. The workshop will include the opportunity for participants to explore the tools and practices being used in the program and consider the application for their classrooms and schools.

A feature of the workshop is the opportunity to visit the Futures Studio at Woodleigh’s Senior Campus. The Futures Studio is the home for the RFP and was designed using regenerative building practices to model an active regenerative mindset. The building takes advantage of passive solar design, carbon-neutral practices, and solar energy, and supports a range of learning opportunities for students, including access to closed-loop food systems, live power-monitoring, a wildlife reserve, and a farm.
